Sport plays a big part at The Dawnay. Our Sports’ Co-ordinator, ensures all children participate in a wide range of sporting challenges both for competition and for enjoyment. Our sporting activities include swimming, football, netball, tennis, judo, gymnastics, cross country, athletics and rounders. We are committed to ensuring children lead healthy lives and have fulfilling active experiences at school so that they want to carry on outside the school day.
The Dawnay are committed to using the PE and Sports premium grant funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport we offer. This means we use the Primary PE and Sport Premium to:
• To develop or add to our PE and sport curriculum, extra curriculum and competitive opportunities and activities that we offer in school
• To build capacity and capability within our school to ensure that improvements will benefit our current pupils and those joining the school in future years
