Infant Home Learning
Infant Learning Journals and Home learning on Tapestry
All Infant children at The Dawnay School have a personal Learning Journey which records photos, observations and comments, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage, to build up a record of your child’s experiences during their time with us. Previously the learning journey has been recorded on paper in individual books however we have now purchased a system called Tapestry which is an online learning journal.
Infant Remote Learning contingency plan
Due to the current school closure, the Infant Team intend to use Tapestry as the preferred portal to share your child’s home learning tasks each week. The Learning Journey on Tapestry allows us to share observations and activities with you. Tapestry will provide parents and carers with a means to communicate directly with the class teacher, ask questions from home and share completed learning.
The Tapestry letters and guidance are available below
Please contact the school office should you have any questions.
Email Communication
From Monday 11th January the school will make ‘live’ class email addresses for parents to contact their class teachers. Please use correct email account. Unless deemed urgent, staff will do their best to respond in two working days.
