    Home Learning - Week 7

Here is your home learning for the week.

I hope you're all settling back into the routine of home learning after the holiday.

Our new topic is BEACHCOMBERS - If you'd like to design a new front cover in your topic book, you can!

I am impressed with the amount of work you're all doing at home. This week there is an additional Powerpoint for a story that we'll be focusing on in English.

Don't forget to send me pictures of your completed work!

    Mr. B :)

    Home Learning - Week 6

Here is your home learning for the week.

I hope you had a lovely break with your family. It was fantastic to speak with you before half term.

We have made a slight change to the timetable now which allows you freedom in the afternoons to select from a range of different activities. Hopefully this provides more flexibility at this time.

    Home Learning - Week 5

Here is your home learning for the week.

Thank you to all the parents for your continued support during this difficult time. I would like to reassure you that you should not worry  if you can't manage to complete all the activities that I set, everyone is busy with life at home and it is different to being at school.

We encourage a calm and relaxed environment at home, so support regular breaks throughout the day if children require time away from learning.

Please do make sure that all of your work goes into your book instead of on pieces of paper which could get lost!

    Mr. B

    Dear Dragonlies Children and Families

I am pleased to share your home learning for the week beginning Monday 20 th April 2020.

Children are familiar with learning objectives and steps to success for tasks which they complete in school. We would encourage you to follow this approach at home. Learning objectives are generated in accordance with National Curriculum age related expectations for your child's year group.

The learning objectives and steps to success should be read to your child and discussed before work is started to ensure they have a good understanding of what they are being asked to do. The steps to success will allow both you and your child to reflect upon the achievement of the learning objective.

Please use the steps to success to discuss with your child their depth of understanding, skill development and progress towards the objective. This will help you identify if further learning is required.

Children are familiar with the process of checking, editing and reviewing their work and do so independently in class on a daily basis.

Challenges should be used to deepen and / or extend learning. Links to external websites may be included within these slides.

I hope you enjoy the work set.

    Thank you

    Mr Balchin
