School council members are elected from each class at the beginning of the school year. The school council meets every two weeks to discuss issues and suggestions which are brought to the attention of school council members during their class assemblies. These issues and suggestions are then discussed with other school council members at the meetings. The school council also raises money for charities and for the school through their organisation of events.
The council has a chair person, a secretary and a treasurer and the children take on these roles to give them the opportunity to learn about democracy.
